The Koniniec’s are also co-founders of Motion State, a full service production company, speciality camera ops and rental house. Along with offering turn key production services, they operate the PNW's largest fleet of gimbals, drones, arm cars, technocranes, cable cams, cinema camera packages, support and more. This allows them the ability to have a multitude of specialized camera platforms at their disposal to bring any vision to life.
They are most proud of the team they have built. They treat every crew member in their production like family and always go above and beyond to make sure their team is taken care of, appreciated and most importantly enjoying their experience on set.
Ultimately, Justin was drawn towards live action film and commercial cinematography. As a cinematographer, he has worked with some of the biggest brands in the world—Chevy, Audi, Lamborghini, Samsung, Nissan, Nikon and Marriott. Most recently Justin worked as cinematographer on the feature film, The Dougherty Gang, which is slated to be released 2020, and directed a documentary short, La Lucha (The Struggle), which follows two time Olympic gold medalist Cuban boxer Mario Kindelan Mesa and his struggles in choosing the love of his country over personal gain.
Justin’s experience as a cinematographer continues to work fluidly with his directing work, where he regularly performs both roles. This passion for cinematography expresses itself in a specific visual aesthetic, but his goal is never just to make pretty images—it is always to make the script come to life and communicate the story in the most compelling way possible.
