Motion State is the world’s premier stabilized camera-system operating company. We are born out of the northwest and specialize in MōVI handheld camera stabilizers, aerial stabilized platforms and ground based gimbal operations. We also specialize in a wide array of MōVI support equipment, such as wheels and pan bar controls, remote focus and video systems, follow vehicle rigging and other specialized technical gear. We are on the forefront of camera movement and have our bags ready to go at any moment for any job, big or small.

Our business is built on over 20 years of experience in commercial, narrative, action sports and documentary production. Our services range from MōVI camera operation to full-service production: directing, filming and editing your completed content. Our existing client roster features brands including Tesla Motors, NBC, Red Bull, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Nikon, Titleist, Marriott, Burton Snowboards, BBC, TNT, Ski Doo, Nissan and Sports Authority to name a few. Our goal is to bring the vision of our clients to life through the use of front-line cinema technologies, unrivaled experience and our determination to achieve the greatest shots possible.

At age 14, Corey picked up his first film camera and began to document his friends Skateboarding, Surfing and Snowboarding. With a passion for action sports, Corey started documenting some of the worlds top athletes. Corey is well known throughout the action sports community and now in the commercial realm as one of the hardest working and dedicated DP and Camera operator’s. His dedication to creating the perfect shot and bringing peoples vision to life is what he thrives for. Corey is a master gimbal operator who specializes in the MOVI stabilized camera platform that is capable of giving clients perfectly stabilized images whether it be handheld on the ground or flying in the sky above.

Having previously spent 9 years as the senior editor at Superfad, Ryan Haug brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this creative partnership. With editorial clients including XBOX, the NFL, MLB on FOX, Nike, Cartoon Network, Sony and more, Ryan is a premiere visual storyteller. In 2013, he was contacted by Freefly Systems to help launch their MōVI System, which took him around the globe – on tour with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, cross country with Tesla Motors, Nissan Trucks, musician Talib Kweli, Sports Authority, Chevy Trucks, and ultimately called him back behind the lens. Though an avid world-traveling MōVI operator, Ryan calls the NW home, and is ready to bring your motion to life.

Based out of Seattle, WA. Sam Nuttmann has been shooting narrative films, documentary films, commercials and music videos since 2008 all over the world. Freefly Systems, the company that created the MōVI, hired Sam as a filmmaker / product ambassador immediately following NAB 2013 when the MōVI was first introduced. This gave him the opportunity to be one of the very first MōVI operators. This also gave him access to some pretty amazing shooting opportunities with top cinematographers and filmmakers. Sam has traveled all over the world training people how to use the MōVI, in countries such as Korea, China, UAE, Germany, UK, Ireland, France, and many others.
